If you’ve read the last couple posts of mine, you’ll understand where I’m coming from. Today was the last day of my trip to St Lucia. As in, I woke up, got my stuff together, and headed out to the airport.
Can you guess what I saw when I work up? BLUE SKIES. CLEAR. NOT A CLOUD IN THE SKY.
Figures. (If you’re not caught up, read the last 2 posts)
Despite the fact that it had been raining my entire trip down here, I decided I would make the best of it and grab as many photos as I could of the beautiful landscapes of the island while it had that awesome blue backdrop.
Ali was my ride for the airport, so I met him at the front lobby of my hotel.
“Tu-dé lukes lyke et will bee eh verri hott dé. Bloo skyes.” he said.
“No shit, Ali,” I replied.
He laughed and we got in the car to head towards the airport. We stopped along the way and grabbed some photos whenever I saw an opportune vantage point. It was enough to make me want to go back to the island. The water is truly gorgeous when there’s nothing but the sun beaming down on it.
Here are the last few shots I grabbed before flying out:

Kevin Snyder - Awesome colors in these photos, the sky is really vibrant!October 2, 2010 – 1:58 pm
Jay - Tim, looks like the tail end wasn’t too bad! At least you weren’t flying out in a storm or anything…heard the east coast was getting slammed this past weekSeptember 27, 2010 – 6:33 pm
Clare - I would much rather be in St Lucia while it’s raining than be here working at my desk…ugh, so jealous. Where to next?September 26, 2010 – 10:46 am
Mike - You’re complaining about getting sun on the last day of a trip to the caribbean, all the while we’re all here at work – you’re enjoying a nice little weekly vacation in a new spot each week. You make me sick…lolSeptember 24, 2010 – 2:08 pm
Ryan Cross - Well hey man, at least you got -some- good photos from the trip, right?September 24, 2010 – 10:44 am
Becca S - Awww so sorry you weren’t able to enjoy the sun like you wanted to! But still, it must have been cool to see another country & visit the caribbean!September 23, 2010 – 7:42 pm
