The moment I saw Hillary’s ‘jumping’ photo from Peru, I knew this was going to be a fun shoot.
Back in July of this year, I made the trip out to Sonoma Valley to do their engagement session. The first part of the session took place at Scribe Winery, which was probably the coolest winery I’ve ever been to. The owners are young & hip, and cook meals from fruits & vegetables grown on site. Fun parties, cool people, and one of the most relaxing views you’ll see up north. What more could you want?
After the first session, we headed into the town of Sonoma to catch the 4th of July firework show going on. Grabbed a few quick pics which actually turned out pretty sweet!
The next session we did in Danny & Hillary’s (new) home of San Francisco. One of my favorite photos from the shoot (there were a TON) is actually the simple shot of their bed.
There’s a quote that goes something like this: “you make the bed that you sleep in, so make sure it’s comfortable”.
Danny and Hillary originally met down here in San Diego, and have done some extensive traveling together (another reason I like these guys). South America, Europe, and much more to come. Their home is filled with tokens & photos from their travels, and if I didn’t know better I’d say they might have missed their calling as interior designers – really well put together!
