San Diego’s Kettner Nights

Every couple of months, San Diego’s little Italy district hosts an event dedicated to local artists, boutiques, and restaurants. This was the first time I had attended & covered an event, but after going – it was actually a lot of fun – I thought it would be a great date idea for anyone trying to do something out of the ordinary.

A few of the art boutiques featured some local bands, and I decided to pick up a CD from a group called, “The Heavy Guilt.”

After listening to their CD the past weekend, I think I’ve developed an affinity for local music. It’s just something about knowing a band that’s not relatively well-known, but REALLY good. I guess it kind of makes you feel like it’s “your” band…until they sell out and become mainstream of course.
