Photowalk: Vancouver

Following my workshop with Jasmine Star & Creative Live this weekend, I had the chance to make a quick trip up north to visit with some of my family. My dad, step-mom, and half-brother live in Bellingham, and on Monday we made a quick trip up to Vancouver for a photowalk.

Vancouver reminded me A LOT of Europe – the style, the culture, the shops, and the colors. One thing that struck me kind of odd was that pretty much ALL the buildings in downtown Vancouver are the same color – this light blue/green glass look…it reminded me of the ice level in the original mega man.

It was tough making it through the city as a photographer – I wanted to stop at every little corner and alleyway to get a shot, so unfortunately I wasn’t able to get everything in that I had wanted. There is a rope suspension bridge called the Calipano bridge that looks pretty sweet – so I guess I’ll have to make a trip back soon :)

Here are some of my favorites from the walk!

(Oh, and if you’d like to see the back-story on how I edit these shots, check out this post I wrote)

Caitlyn - I love this…quick question. What are you camera settings such as…do you shoot in neutral/standard/etc/ and do you shoot in RAW or JPEG?> Thanks again!April 22, 2011 – 10:15 pm

Shelean - Sweet shots! I can see that it must have been torture! lol But, what you did get is amazing and enjoyable to look at! I have a question that you may have answered already…. When you take your Photowalks…. what lens do you tend to rely on? You have so many views, did you switch? My hope is that one would suffice. I really don’t want to always lug a ton of gear around on a day off. You? Thanks much! Cheers!April 13, 2011 – 12:14 pm

Scott - Nice work Tim, as always. Looks like you had a great time.April 13, 2011 – 11:30 am
