When I woke up on the second day of my trip to Paris, I glanced outside and saw that it was raining. I *immediately* regretted not going and making it out to see the eiffel tower the day before. I pressed my luck in thinking that I’d be able to catch two days of sunlight IN A ROW while in Paris. Ha!
But you know what?
I am SO glad that it was raining that day…why? Because this is possibly my FAVORITE photowalk I have ever done. I don’t know what it was, but something about the dreary atmosphere & people running with umbrellas just made my experience so much more enjoyable. I felt like I had a true feel for the lifestlye in the city.
One thing I should make note of is the fence with the locks on it. It’s tradition that a married couple bring a lock and latch it on to the fence, then throw the keys in the sienne river. I don’t think you can get any more romantic than that. I joked with a buddy of mine about faking throwing a key just in case things “don’t” work out ;)
I stopped by the Louvre, but didn’t go in. (GASP!) Yeah, it’s just not my thing! (Don’t tell anyone, but while I appreciate art…I just get so bored in museums. Maybe it’s the kid in me, but I guess I’m just a bit more into seeing the ‘sights’.
On that note, here are the pics from the day:

Betsy, La Vida Creations - Saw the thread on FB and had to come visit the photo walk… Ahhhhhh, Paris!!! Great stuff, Tim. Nice little insight to a gorgeous city with so much variety and texture it has to offer. Just wish we had had more time to photo walk for ourselves last time we were there for work. Thanks for sharing!! You inspired me to go back just for US!!March 25, 2011 – 4:38 pm
