Photowalk: Madrid by Night

I headed out on the town with a few friends…and you know me – got caught up shooting those brick paved streets. Seriously can’t get enough of the style out here. The architecture, the historic feel, the type face used in signage – it all comes together to create such a unique feeling. Can’t really describe it, you’ll just have to go out there yourself : )

Another thing I found myself intrigued with was the design on the sewer covers. Madrid has a simple crown logo on the city emblems & while I have some bias (see logo atop page) I thought it was pretty cool for a city to have it’s own branding.

While I was out walking with my friends, we passed a bar called “El Gato Negro” (The Black cat) and found out that the people that are out late at night in the city are referred to as “gatos negros”. Soy un gato negro.
