Photowalk: Denver #2

I just got in to Colorado yesterday, and I decided to do one of my favorite things: a photowalk. I haven’t done one of these in awhile, and I really should – it’s a great way to find new ideas, allow creativity to flow, and to just relax.

I met up with my buddy Andrew and we hit up a relatively new neighborhood on the westside of town. I decided to give my lensbaby (it’s a fun little novelty lens) a chance to prove itself before I get tired of it and sell it, so that’s why all of the shots look as if there’s some type of motion going on – it’s the effect the lens is designed to produce. (There’s your fun photo fact of the day, enjoy.) Here are some of my favorite shots from the walk:

Occasionally whenever I’m out, people will like to pretend to act like they’re someone important and say, “hey, we’re famous – take our picture” or “you can get some great money for that shot.” Usually they’ve had a few too many shots themselves for me to really believe they’re famous. Maybe famous at the local pub! This group asked for me to take their picture & didn’t believe I could get the shot being so dark & me not having a flash. They were AMAZED when I showed them this photo, but I doubt it will make headlines or USWeekly ;)

Jay M - Lensbabies are a lot of fun. You have some cool shots there of the traffic lights & crowd sitting in front of the coffee shop or whatever. Don’t sell the lens!October 1, 2010 – 10:26 am

Jason Sutherlan - How do you do those blur shots where one part is in focus and the rest of the photo looks like it’s moving?

Brett Stamm - Are all of these spots in Denver? LOL I’ve lived here for like 6 years now and I think I haven’t seen half of these spots. Nice work, now tell me where I can find these places hahaAugust 27, 2010 – 8:14 am
