Mom,
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. Without you, I don’t think I’d be the person I am today, and I owe a lot of my success in life to you.
If it weren’t for my constant challenging of your rules growing up, I don’t think I would have learned to think outside the box and go against the grain the way I do today.
Without the standards you set for me in school, I don’t think I would nearly have the discipline and work ethic to achieve the level of quality I put into my business.
Without the humor, sociability, and general outgoing attitude you showed me, I wouldn’t have as many friends, acquaintances, and solid business relationships that I do if you hadn’t given me an example of what it should look like growing up. I don’t think I ever told you this, but the kayaking trip to Magdelina bay while we went whale-watching – I took notes on the awards ceremony you put on! (Prepare for a roast at one of your birthdays in the near future by the way)
This day is dedicated to you, and even though I couldn’t be in Colorado – imagine me there in spirit – eating all the food, leaving plates out on the counter, and harassing the cats. I hope your day is filled with fun, friends, and a bowl or two of ben and jerry’s – because you deserve it.
Happy Mother’s Day Mom!
