Denver Nights!

I had to split the Colorado trip into 2 posts because, like I said in the last post – I basically CRAMMED everything I could into the 9 days I was in town.

The main reason for my trip was to come out and see my brother’s band play, as the past couple years have been so busy & hectic with work/school schedules that I wasn’t able to make it out for any of their concerts. It just so happened that during this trip, I actually had the chance to check out concerts for BOTH of the bands he’s in – I was stoked.

I really took full advantage of this trip, getting in as much time as I could to be with family and close friends – bike rides with my mom around boulder, hitting golf balls at my favorite driving range, seeing my brother play in concert, and completely destroying Chance in Tennis were just a few highlights of my trip. (Chance is a self-proclaimed Tennis champion, and it was like the fall of rome when I beat him)

Unfortunately I couldn’t get everything in that I had hoped for, but I guess that’s just more reason to make another trip out!

PS – If you make a visit to Denver, be sure to try out Enzo’s pizza on Colfax. Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had, it’s become a tradition that each time I come to town I eat there at least once.

PPS – I feel I should make note of the last couple shots in this series – I was out in the street talking to my girlfriend Sherry one night (it’s a little rural so reception isn’t great in the house) and I looked up and noticed that the sky was so clear it felt like I could see every single star. I set my camera on top of a car and took a shot of our house to give some perspective.

Fun things to do in Denver at night

You really can’t get the same kind of atmosphere in San Diego that you do in Colorado…there’s a reason they call it “colorful Colorado.” [...]January 18, 2013 – 5:35 am
