I think I got a bit of a travel bug this past month…decided to continue the spree with a trip back home to see the leaves change color. You really can’t get the same kind of atmosphere in San Diego that you do in Colorado…there’s a reason they call it “colorful Colorado.”
I also really enjoy spending time with my family, as I only get a handful of opportunities to see them throughout the year – so the leaves made for a good excuse :)
(If you have family that lives close by, don’t take it for granted!)
I had a good time getting to hang out with my mom and brother – dinners at home are really like nothing else! Also got to spend some time with my good buddy Andrew & hang out at the art studio. The owner of the studio is an avid painter of horses, and makes a few trips out to the ranch each year – he had a cattle whip hanging up on the wall, so I asked him to show me how to use it.
Let me tell you – it’s pretty sick! You have to be careful or the whip will strike right back at you if you don’t do it right…luckily I didn’t have to learn this the hard way. When you crack the whip, it makes such a loud SNAP that it actually breaks the sound barrier!
