Getting your “vlogging” gear set up!

The most creative gear review you will ever watch from tim king on Vimeo. I figured it would make a good resource to be able to have a side-by-side comparison of the different options for video blogging, as well as some recommendations for some specialty-type effects that can add value and distinguish your blog as […]

Daryl Auclair - Exceptional post Tim. The video was very creative and helpful. My company has many clients who are looking for cost effective ways to setup their video blogging rig. I will have to send them to this post for a quick glance at all their options.

Thanks!May 29, 2012 – 1:06 pm

Tim - @Ryan – The 10-20 is great, but it’s tricky with low light on its own without a flash. Works really well for traveling stuff though – I had that lens for about a year when I first started.April 4, 2012 – 8:23 pm

Ryan Lum - Props to the article Tim. Great breakdown. Definitely am looking into the Sigma 30mm 1.4. What about the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6? Needing something to offset the crop.April 4, 2012 – 5:59 pm

Dark Humor and 3 tips on creating branding ideas

One of the sure signs that a client is a “good fit” with me is when our sense of humor runs along the same lines. While it may be rare to have a perfect fit, when they’re on your “same level” – it’s SOOOOOO good. So with that, I’m going to incorporate a little of […]

lmhpromotions - This is HILARIOUS! Totally my type of dark humor, although I would really love my funeral to be humorous and keep my friends laughing at my sarcastic and sassy attitude well after Im gone and what better way than to spring from my coffin like a marionette?

Brilliant. Thanks for sharing!

My plans for this blog & what to expect this next month!

So with the 30 day challenge coming to a close, some of you may be wondering if I’m going to maintain my blog now.  Well, after thinking about all the benefits of doing this, I can’t imagine not “continuing” this wave.  Along with that, I’m also going to consider the drawbacks of doing one-a-day, and […]

Dustin - Im really interested in the low budget post as well. I totally agree with you about the workshops. I know that I would not want to put that out there if I didn’t feel I had enough experience with that topic. Can’t wait to see these new entry’s.January 6, 2012 – 11:01 am

Brooke Schultz - I am excited for all of these posts! Especially how to make budget events look elegant–I’m assuming that’s from the standpoint of the photographer? I really love your approach of doing everything you can to make your business what you want it to be NOW, instead of waiting until you have more experience/gear/whatever other crap we make up to excuse ourselves from hustlin.
Thanks for the great work, and for sharing your knowledge.January 6, 2012 – 10:12 am

Lisa Faulkner - Hi Tim,
My favorite post of yours from the month was the one on Facebook timeline. Now that the 30 day blogging is done I can apply the tips!

As a hobby photographer I’d enjoy tips to I improve the shots I take for my blog. Eg, I’d love to improve my green smoothie shots that I’m taking daily as part of my #12in12 participation on twitter. It was a result of my blogging.

I too plan to continue consistent, though less frequent posts: 3-5 instead if 7 per week. Thanks for doing this!

My favorite result was the “Start Now!” reverberations! Here’s a link to my ten highlights:
