Hahaha that shot of the ‘models’ is hilarious – you were right, they totally do have that modelesque look. I can’t imagine what else you probably saw there, but New York is a different world on it’s own. Doesn’t have to be fashion week for you to be seeing people dressed all fancy and such, that’s what I love about that place. So cool you got to be there right around fashion week, I bet it was super cool to see everyone so formal/fashion forward

Did you know anyone out there or were you just staying at hotels or something? I really want to go out there but I don’t know anyone, and I feel like it is a place I need to go, but I’ve also heard the hotels are super expensive!

Each year, San Diego (amongst a few other cities) plays host to Thread – an event designed to showcase independent designers, artists, and stylists centered around the San Diego fashion culture. Last night I shot a fashion show at Stingaree Nightclub that featured the newest line from Vix Swimwear. It’s always a tough job to go and shoot girls in bikinis, but hey – someone’s gotta do it.

Photographed the Art Institute Urban Garden Runway fashion show this past weekend, one of the more impressive productions I’ve seen come out of San Diego. The convention center played host to the event, and in comparison to the Hard Rock hotel last year, I feel it did a pretty good job of it!

Lisa - I don’t know if you realized you captured some of the really big names in fashion – such as Anna Wintour – sitting in the front row. She’s the one in the big round dark sunglasses; you can see her clearly in your shot of Michael Kors and also in a couple others.
