New York Fashion Week

This past September, I flew out to New York to shoot a few events for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.  The trip was scheduled the DAY AFTER I returned from a 2 week vacation to Bali & Thailand, so by the time I arrived in Manhattan, my internal clock was completely out of whack. Anyways, remember…

Tiffany Manning - Gorgeous images, gorgeous clothes! So how do you get in to shoot one of those shows, anyway? :)December 9, 2011 – 3:17 pm

Lisa - I don’t know if you realized you captured some of the really big names in fashion – such as Anna Wintour – sitting in the front row. She’s the one in the big round dark sunglasses; you can see her clearly in your shot of Michael Kors and also in a couple others. Pretty much every person in the front row of that show was some big name in fashion. Nicely done, Tim!December 9, 2011 – 2:42 pm

Kari Nichols - Very impressive sir!!! I’ll bet money you book something new off of this post… Cheers!December 9, 2011 – 1:09 pm

Maria - Ha! We both posted about NY and clothes… But I gotta admit – I wish I was there during the fashion week! You totally nailed the “high production” look, awesome job! And ahhh… I love Michael Kors.December 9, 2011 – 12:22 pm

SarahV - You killed it! Love the shots, Tim!December 9, 2011 – 12:04 pm

Alterna Fashion Show at Loew’s Coronado Bay Resort

This past Friday, I shot the Alterna Fashion show for 944 magazine in Coronado. This is the 3rd annual show they’ve had, and I’ve been there to cover it the previous 2 years as well. Without a doubt, I can say that this show is the most well-produced & well-coordinated fashion event I’ve seen in…

London Fashion Week

One big reason I enjoy shooting events in the fashion industry is that I love meeting the people that attend them. They are definitely some of the most unique people you’ll ever come across…and there are pics below to show what I mean. Big thanks to Allison at Felicities Public Relations for bringing me in…

Photowalk: New York

Brandon - Ahhhh, nice stuff Timmy! You should print some of these out and put em up on the wall!October 15, 2010 – 11:54 am

Kim Mathers - Hahaha that shot of the ‘models’ is hilarious – you were right, they totally do have that modelesque look. I can’t imagine what else you probably saw there, but New York is a different world on it’s own. Doesn’t have to be fashion week for you to be seeing people dressed all fancy and such, that’s what I love about that place. So cool you got to be there right around fashion week, I bet it was super cool to see everyone so formal/fashion forward

Ok I’m gonna stop writing this novel on your blog now, but I just wanted to check out the photos, you have an awesome style, and I’m jealous of all your travels. See you soon!October 11, 2010 – 11:35 am

Rachel Phelps - W.O.W. Tim! You have just convinced me to buy a ticket out there to visit that city, it looks so cool in all your photos, I’m sure you had a blast!
Did you know anyone out there or were you just staying at hotels or something? I really want to go out there but I don’t know anyone, and I feel like it is a place I need to go, but I’ve also heard the hotels are super expensive!
Ahhh lolOctober 5, 2010 – 6:01 pm

Luis Ortega - Awesome job man. The details in these photos are great! I wonder what that police/gov escort was all about in those top photos…the shot you got at Times Square with all the cabs is super sick, I hope you weren’t in front of them when they started to go though lol. Nice pairing of the red bike & the red building on the left, not sure if anyone noticed that – or if you even intended to do that on purpose lolOctober 5, 2010 – 4:59 pm

Brian - You were right man…what a playground for a photographer! Man I could get lost taking photos there, you must have been in heaven!October 3, 2010 – 10:39 am

Angela Faulkner - “Ain’t times square”

So awesome. I love it. It’s cool to see when people can get creative with using something that’s already there. Kind of a mini version of that ‘subway boy’ graffiti artist or whatever was running around New York this yearOctober 2, 2010 – 5:12 pm

Sarah Langley - Oh my god that dog is huge! Wow I want one!!! Of course it would probably destroy my house lolOctober 2, 2010 – 9:45 am

Tim Durand - Sweet shots of the buildings in the first photo. Looks like it was somewhere near the financial district or something – the shape makes it unique, I don’t think there are many like that in other parts of the cityOctober 1, 2010 – 7:33 pm

Jesse Hewitt - Awesome pics man – I love the graffiti shots you got, brooklyn is such an awesome place to get those kind of photos tooOctober 1, 2010 – 6:43 pm

Sharon Holmes - Oh I love the photo of the brick-layered street! I love that style, oh I wish we had some of those out here on the west coast!October 1, 2010 – 2:49 pm

Amy Kendricks - Awesome photos Tim!!! So jealous of your trip <3October 1, 2010 – 1:42 pm

Kelly C - WOW – these photos are awesome!!! <3 them!October 1, 2010 – 8:02 am

Cynthia - OooOooh I love the shot of the rings & the girls looking at the wardrobe rack

Do they do this multiple times a year? I feel like they just had a show a few months ago…September 30, 2010 – 7:22 pm

Katie Chaplin - Do you have any pics of the fashion show? I wanna see if I’m in any of em! <3<3<3September 27, 2010 – 2:31 pm

Paul Rowe - That’s hilarious about the dude that freaked out about the pics. I don’t know where these people come from, but they seem to pop up randomly from time to time. I’ve run into some similar-minded people in my time as a photogSeptember 27, 2010 – 7:40 am

San Diego Art Institute Fashion Show Urban Garden

Photographed the Art Institute Urban Garden Runway fashion show this past weekend, one of the more impressive productions I’ve seen come out of San Diego. The convention center played host to the event, and in comparison to the Hard Rock hotel last year, I feel it did a pretty good job of it!
