Cabo San Lucas Wedding – Sherri & Brendan (Welcome Reception)

While I’ve been against the idea of doing “Part 1″ and “Part 2″ wedding posts, I couldn’t help but “not” do it with this wedding.  There were so many images that I liked, it would have been a monster post if squeezed into one.

(A quick note – I want to let you know that this wedding served as a benchmark for me, and helped me finally realize what kind of clientele I want to pursue in my career as a photographer.  Hopefully by the end of this post, you’ll be able to tell what kind of person that is too.)

BTW – if you’re thinking about doing a destination wedding, a welcome reception is a great idea to get everyone familiar with one another prior to the big day.  I feel like this way, the wedding is a lot more fun & people enjoy themselves much more after getting to know everyone a bit beforehand.

So let’s get on with the story, shall we?

Meet Sherri & Brendan.  They’re getting married in Cabo San Lucas, and all of their closest friends & family are down with them to enjoy the celebration.

They’re holding a private welcome party at the resort for everyone to relax, hang out, and get to know each other.  Doesn’t hurt there’s an awesome view.

And delicious food.

And each guest is greeted with a shot of tequila.

That’s “Ben” aka “Ted” aka “DJ Ben” on the right – he’ll be officiating the wedding tomorrow.

“Friends” become friends.

Brendan sharing a story with Adam.

Sherri with her closest friends – reunited, enjoying the weekend together.

There’s nothing like the time spent with family on vacation.  No work, no responsibilities – nothing getting in the way of spending time with one another.

Time for a dip!

And time for bed!

And here’s a little “sneak peak” of tomorrow’s wedding post.  Keep an eye out for it – some of my best photos I’ve ever taken from a wedding.
