Bond Gala at the Museum of Contemporary Art La Jolla

Covered this charity event on Saturday – the coordinators really did a great job bringing together the details on this one. They had models dressed up as the different characters from all the various Bond movies, projectors showing scenes from the films on the walls, and an amazing dinner set up with a view of the ocean only a few feet away.

I couldn’t help but wonder what some of the staff must have thought about the event, coming from the opposite perspective. I was talking to the bartenders, and apparently, they were getting a common request for their cocktails all night:

“Shaken, not stirred.”

The crowd was really into the idea, and it was cool to see so many people get involved and dress up in character. I didn’t see ‘oddjob’ though, so I was a little disappointed.
