Minutes after getting off my flight back from my trip to Colorado, I headed over to shoot the San Diego Contemporary Art Fair down at the Hilton Bayfront.
The fair featured artists showcasing 3D Magic Eye canvas prints to oil paintings to brazilian photography to sculptures of the most abstract type. It was really cool to see so many perspectives on art in one place and to see so many local artists contributing towards a growing community. It’s refreshing to see San Diego not growing only physically and aesthetically downtown, but culturally as well!
I found myself getting caught up watching some of the nominees’ videos for their projects – almost to the point that I nearly forgot that I was there working and not to enjoy the presentations!
Artpulse TV did a great segment on the weekend and what it means for San Diego as an artist’s community. Here’s a quick peek at some of my favorite shots from the weekend.

Paul Ramos - Awesome job, Tim. You did a great job getting in the details/candid moments. In fact, I don’t think I see one posed shot in all these pics. I think that ability is what makes the difference between a good photographer and a great photographer.September 14, 2010 – 4:46 pm
Lindsey Arguello - I <3 your photos! Even though I'm not a photographer, I can really tell that these are some really good photos! You are a super talented person, and I love seeing all the stuff you do/photograph. Please keep posting stuff like this!
