This past Friday, I shot the Alterna Fashion show for 944 magazine in Coronado. This is the 3rd annual show they’ve had, and I’ve been there to cover it the previous 2 years as well.
Without a doubt, I can say that this show is the most well-produced & well-coordinated fashion event I’ve seen in San Diego. And with Loew’s hosting this years designers, it was tough to pull anything but the best. Not sure how they’re gonna top it next year!
As I mentioned in my post about London Fashion Week, I’m pumped whenever I get approached to cover stylistic events like these. While I may not be the most cutting edge in the wardrobe department (my idea of fashion forward is a v-neck, jeans, and sandals) – it’s always a blast to shoot these events and hang out with the crowd. I hope one day I’ll understand the fashion realm, but for now – I’ll go ahead and leave it to the pro’s.
The event was sponsored by 944, Discover San Diego, SanDiego.com, and Vitamin Water. Big shout out to Kathy at 944 & Marie Elena over at DiscoverSD who had served as guest judges for the event.
Since Loew’s is one of my favorite existing clients, I knew the venue would be sure to not-disappoint…and I was right.
