In my time as a nightlife photographer – I’ve met some pretty rich people. Guys that would buy thousands of dollars worth of alcohol at the club each weekend – often times ending up just spraying it all over the place instead of actually drinking it.
Those guys might have a lot of money, but you know what? NOTHING can compare to how wealthy the people involved with this organization are. The people I met tonight were probably some of the richest guys alive – while it may not be monetarily, I don’t think anything can really hold a candle to the things these groups are doing for humanity.
From cancer research to AIDS prevention to micro-financing, the different organizations involved in tonight’s award ceremonies are doing HUGE things to help humanity on a world-wide level. StayClassy.org is a non-profit group which makes it easy for companies and individuals to leverage social media in generating donations for charities and other organizations.
I really could not think of anything more fulfilling than what these people are doing, knowing how much of an impact they are making on the world! It was truly inspiring to hear about everyone’s story and what they are working towards.
You guys ROCK.
The San Diego Civic theater served as the venue, and it was FILLED with people who were all supporting this awesome idea. Scott Chisholm and Pat Walsh founded StayClassy.org back in 2006, and it has really impacted the ways younger demographics can get involved with charity.
